When approached about the possibility of Pat Mesiti addressing our school assembly for one period, I must say in all honesty I was concerned. A cold windy day, an outside venue, 40 minutes on a concrete slab... doesn't sound like entertainment for 1,100 students does it? Then again, you have never heard Pat Mesiti perform. He had the entire school population enthralled throughout his performance . His ability as a "stand up comic " was used to perfection to send an important message - everyone has problems, we are all different, learn to say no, make your own decisions.
